Home impovement loans are offered to eligible Downey homweowners.
Those who qualify for the City’s Rehabilation Assisstance Program will receive loans up to $40,000 with 0% interest, no points and minimal fees. The loans become payable when the home is either sold, a change of ownership occurs, or when the borrowers no longer reside in the property.
The program covers a variety of improvements; Roofing, heating, driveways, new windows, electrical, restucco, sandblasting, insulation, flooring, termiting, plumbing, fencing, yard clean up, painting, gutters, lead based paint removal, kitchen and bathroom improvements, and elimination of code violations.
To qualify, the household’s annual gross income cannot exceed;
Persons/income; 1/$42,450, 2/$48500, 3/$54,600, 4/$60,650, 5/$65,500, 6/$70,350
